My brushes need to be cleaned in between each client if I'm planning on using the same set on the next client. They need to be cleaned with an approved brush cleaner that is proven to disinfect. The same with your personal

make-up brushes.

This can be done in just 4 steps!

  1. Soak in only brush head in warm water.

  2. Wash and rinse with gentle soap until all excess debris have been washed off.

  3. Dab with a clean towel.

  4. Reshape brush and air dry completely.

How often should you clean your brushes at home? This correlates with how often you apply make-up. I prefer to cleanse after each use the brushes that I use with organic or natural make-up as most don't have preservatives. You make up brushes can grow bacteria and cause infections to the skin especially near the eyes. I use the Sephora's paraben and sulfate free daily brush cleaner to cleanse between each use and deep clean once/twice a week.

Sun damage, skin cancer, and premature aging are just a few of the reasons we are major proponents of year-round sunscreen usage. And, while we have our go-to sunscreens, we've decided to take a little extra precaution this year by adding makeup with SPF into our routine. You can never be too prepared, right?

On the search to add some more sun protection into our beauty routine, we reached out to a few celebrity makeup artists for their favorite makeup products containing SPF. From protective lip tints that add just the right amount of color to high SPF BB creams that create a barely-there layer of coverage, there are plenty of products that fulfill their purpose while also protecting our skin from the sun's harsh rays.

Before we move ahead, a note: It's important to use an SPF of 30 or above before you layer on any SPF makeup. The SPF found in makeup won't be enough for you to meet the Dermatologist-recommended level of protection. Consider the SPF found in makeup to be a bonus.

These concealers make dark circles, blemishes, and other imperfections vanish.

This is my new favorite concealer. It's waterproof and humidity resistant. It blends well and has great coverage. I always pay attention to longevity of a product and the way it sets on the skin. I apply the creamy concealer in the morning using my ring finger in a gentle blotting motion to cover dark spots and imperfections. It sets nicely on the skin and does not emphasize any fine lines."
